Dr Carol Wicking received her BSc (Hons) and MSc from the University of Melbourne and her PhD from the University of London. She has over 25 years of research experience, primarily investigating the molecular and cellular basis of a number of rare diseases including cystic fibrosis, naevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome and a class of rare diseases known as ciliopathies. Carol is the Science Advisor and a Board Member of Phenomics Australia, a capability of the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy. She is currently an independent consultant and an Honorary Associate Professor at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience at the University of Queensland. Carol is also an RVA Director.
